In December 2009, I started feeling strangely ill.  I went to the doctor & during the examinations, he noticed a spot on my left breast. Tests were ran, but it wasn’t until March 2010 that the doctor contacted me with a follow-up consultation. She did a biopsy, and the diagnosis was breast cancer. Surgery was performed to clean the tissues in my breast to remove cancer cells. Further tests were done with injecting dye into the lymph nodes. Cancer  cell were found & the doctor recommended that I would  have more surgery to remove all the lymph nodes from under my left arm / armpits.  

I  decided to step out on faith & let the Lord do His work of healing.  I refused this surgery, & went to 3Angels’ Lifestyle Center instead. During my stay at the Center, the Lord was teaching me His Word. I started step by step implementing the health laws that God had ordained from the beginning. I started an exercise program, changing my eating habits, drinking more water, getting in the open air with sunlight, but most of all getting to know God & His will for my life – trusting Him.

In this lifestyle change, one of the exciting & unexpected side effect was that I lost over 100 pounds. After leaving the Lifestyle Center I felt like a new person that was given a second chance in life.

July 14, 2010 (4 months after starting my new life) I went to LSUMC for a scheduled doctor’s appointment. I went through the regular lab work, blood pressure check, listening to my heart & lungs, & breast exams.

 When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer, I was given some medication to take which would suppose to clean out the cancer from my  breast & lymph nodes. I never took those pills. The nurse checked my left breast & lymph nodes under my arm. She then went to get the doctor, who examined me as well.

He reported that no cancer was found, my tests came back cancer free. Praise God from Whom ALL blessings flow !!!

Thinking that I had been taking this medication that he had given me earlier, the doctor reminded me that if I should experience hot flashes or joint pains, it was side effects of the medication. I asked the doctor about this string of hair that I had under my chin, he told me that it was an effect of this medication.  But remember, I never took the medication.

The Lord has truly given me a newstart & I will praise His name with all that is within me.

First I would like to thank God for leading me to the 3Angels’ Lifestyle Center.

Here I am 44 years young, & just had a heart attack.. Doctors were serious about performing a triple by-pass, because the tests showed that I had a 99 %  blockage in my coronary arteries. I realized that this was very serious. My family & I have always believed that God can do anything; that He is the Great Physician. Now it’s time to put my faith in action. I trusted God to lead me in His will & His way. I knew that I needed a lifestyle change, but I needed some help to get started. That’s where the Lifestyle Center came in. I’ve had great difficulties going up and down 4 steps in my home with a rail; but after about 1 ½  weeks, I was able to go up & down 16 steps at the Lifestyle Center 7 to 8 times twice a day. Now I’m walking 3 miles a day without difficult. God has blessed me to get off my Diabetic & Blood pressure medications.

3 months after starting this lifestyle program, I went back to my physician for a follow up exam. Remember I have not taken any medications for my Diabetes or blood pressure for over 3 months. My blood pressure stays in the range of 118/70  to 130/80. My blood sugar is between 90 & 120. My doctors told me that my heart seems to be stronger & all my lab work was in the therapeutic range.

By God’s grace, I will continue in this lifestyle program, so that I can be the living witness that God can use in my hometown to help others.
